Who are we? CAICC was established in 2006 as a programme to support centres engaged in information and communication at community level. It aims to respond to their development needs and consolidate the national network that binds them together. Through an emphasis on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), CAICC contributes to improving its local partners’ quality of production and deepening their role: to inform, communicate, defend press freedom and freedom of expression, and promote good governance. CAICC serves a network comprising over 100 community radios, community multimedia centres (CMCs) and telecentres of various types and origins, operating in all corners of the country. |
